Open, partially flooded natural prairie and fallow farm fields bordered by the Scioto River and mixed hardwood forest dominated by Populus deltoides, Quercus spp., and Acer spp. Herbaceous layer composed of Alliaria petiolata and Phalaris arundinacea. Ground cover in wooded areas dominated by soggy leaf litter and woody debris. Grassland areas dominated by Andropogon gerardii and old farm fields dominated by Panicum virgatum. Found on edge of woodland area at the base of a hill, in moist organic soil.
