Growing on steep south-facing wooded slope (bluff). Forest dominated by Juniperus virginiana & Fraxinus quadrangulata with Rhus aromatica and Hypericum frondosum. Collected at edge of woods but was seen scattered commonly in the woods along the bluff bordering the lake.
